Pre-Investigation Examination

We, at DSPI, always perform a sweep of the area to be investigated during the interview process. This sweep is conducted by no less than two members. We check for any areas that may cause inaccurate readings on the EMF meter, drastic changes in temperature readings on the IR thermometers, photographic/Video anomalies, unwanted noise on the digital recorders, and safety hazards that may endanger the team. These areas are marked on a layout we make after the sweep is complete. We try to insure that our investigations are as controlled  and safe as possible.

Tallapoosa Police Department

Tallapoosa Police Department still has the first city jail cell. It is used for storage now, years ago it was used as the primary place of criminal holding. I have been told a story that three inmates have died in the cell and it is haunted by those spirits. An officer, remaining nameless, says that paranormal investigators have been there before and have had "strange things" going on in the cell. I dont know who the investigators were, this has been a few years back. No actual details have been told to any of the other officers. One of the officers and I went into the cell on 11-9-04 and did some investigation. Here are the findings:

• The cell was an average of 65.9 to 66.0 F, there were variances in temperature by 5 F in areas of interest. These areas are noted by orbs in photographs.
• There were multiple orbs photographed in the cell, my camera lense was cleaned prior to photographing the cell.
• There is one interesting EVP. The question was asked, "Is anyone in here?" The EVP sounds like the name "Jameson". I have asked the TPD investigator to check that name with the time period of jail use. I will post it if there is such a record.
• The "Feeling" in and around the cell was just strange, to say the least.

Dallas, GA Investigation

We have completed the investigation in Dallas, GA. The following evidence was found:

• Video footage with an EVP and a shadow figure moving across the room. The shadow figure is very hard to see on the streaming video, due to quality from bandwidth.
• Two EVP's that were recorded with a RCA digital recorder ( the recordings are still being enhanced and will be posted as soon as possible).
• Positive EMF readings with our ELF Zone meters.
• No Temperature variations of significants were recorded.
• No substantial photographic evidence was found.

This seems to be an intelligent haunting, in our opinions.

The Balenger Residence

This residence is supposedly haunted by two spirits. One, the current residents father and second, the girlfreind of the father that was murdered in the home in apporx. 1984. As told by the current residents, there has been "Shadow Figures" seen on many occasions, in the residence. Figures described as male and female. The male figure is seen in the bedroom occupoed by Mr. Balenger and the femal has been seen in the hallway and in the current living area, that used to be the bedroom.

According to the Balengers, whispers and footsteps have also been heard in the residence at night. These occurances are usually pre-dawn and early morning.

The initial Sweep with EMF detectors and infrared thermometers shows no fluctuation in EMF readings with an average temp. of 67 to 70 degrees.

As the investigation continued after midnight, we began to have fluctuations in EMF's in the current bedroom and what is now the living room. These were dectected with the K-2 meter. Dr. Jimmy Lowery of APSRradio was on site with his "Ghost Box" and received some intersting messages from "the other side". While conducting this, Activity with the K-2 meter became more active with some YES and NO commands causing events to occur with the meter.

The EVP recordings also pointed towards activity in the residence with positive results to questions ansewered.

No Photographic evidence was captured. We will, however, have video of the Ghost Box in action later this week, as the evidence is still being compiled.

This seems to be an intelligent haunting, in nature. Mr. Balenger says the home is more "At Peace" since the investigation.
